St Kieran follows the
Science Club calls young Science Enthusiasts to join every Tuesday afternoon after school in Terms 2 and 3 – from 3.15 – 4.30pm
Students are challenged to think outside the box and participate in a variety of activities calling for group work and cooperation in the areas of Physics and Chemistry.
Science Club is a very popular extra- curricular activity which leads to some children being chosen to represent St Kieran in regional Science Competitions.
Students are offered a range of before and after school sporting opportunities designed to both complement the curriculum as well as provide exposure to new sports.
Before school clinics are offered by external providers and include specialist coaches providing skill development and match simulation. Often participation packs and healthy breakfast options are part of these programs.
After school programs are accessed through the Sporting Schools program. Specialist coaches work closely with school staff to provide opportunities for students to consolidate skills learnt at school and access a range of sports that they would not usually come across as part of the school curriculum. These have included netball, tennis, athletics, lacrosse, touch rugby and hockey.
