Prayer for the End of the School Year

At the end of this school year we give thanks to God;
For all the teaching and learning that has taken place in our school,
both in and out of the classroom,
For the talents and gifts that have been shared
and the challenges that have been faced;
For the burdens that have been lifted and the hurts that have been healed;
For the respect and care that has been given.
We give thanks for the friendships that have just begun and for those that have grown.
For the faith that has been lived in our daily struggles,
For the hope that has lifted our hearts on the dark days
And for the love that has kept us going.
We give thanks for the community that we are,
and we ask you Lord - Bless our students;
may your Spirit inspire them with confidence and calmness
Bless our families as we take our holidays,
may our time together leave us with memories to cherish.
Pour out your love on us that we may return renewed and refreshed to continue our journey together.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
Amen

It has come to that time of the year where we not only say goodbye to our Year 6 class as they graduate but to all the families at St Kieran as we conclude 2021. In particular, the Year 6 class, you have been an amazing group of students and I know that you will do the best you can do and look back on your time at St Kieran as a wonderful time and a time you will never forget. Take care.

To the families and staff members that will also conclude their time with us at St Kieran, we thank you all for being part of this wonderful community and we wish you all the very best as you journey into the future and we hope that you leave us with fond memories and with the best of luck.

This is a year that I am sure many of us will not be able to forget with our interrupted COVID start, then 100th Year celebration of our wonderful school community and then to our amazing Interschool Athletics Carnival. When we take time to reflect on this year and the events that unfolded, I am extremely proud of the community, staff, students and parents for all that they have been through and continued to work through, as the year unfolded.

I wish to take this opportunity to thank everyone for another wonderful year at St Kieran Catholic Primary School. We are truly blessed to be involved in such an authentically faith driven community. Best wishes and may God bless you in all you do.

Have a wonderful Christmas, take care and stay safe.

Kind Regards
Mr Daine Burnett

Christmas Concert

We would sincerely like to thank everyone for attending the Christmas Concert last Thursday night. The students performed with such amazing talent in their singing and performing. To our families, thank you for your support and cooperation with all that was going on during the night, we did have a few hiccups with the sound however the students were fantastic in dealing with the situations that popped up. Thank you to Miss Oregioni for preparing the children and once again, this concert is not possible without our staff who pull together each year to make all of the arrangements. We appreciate everything you do.

School Fees

The 2022 school fees for St Kieran Catholic Primary School have increased by 2% for tuition, amenities and levies in 2022. The swimming fee has also increased in line with the higher associated costs for the lessons. A full breakdown of the fees will be available on the St Kieran website from at the end of Term 4 2021.

If you have a valid concession card please provide it to the office to be eligible for the concession card discount as shown on our fee schedule. If there are any concerns regarding the payment of school fees, families should make an appointment to see the principal.

St Kieran Uniform 2022

As has been previously communicated, the school has been looking at the St Kieran Uniform over the past year and a half with the Uniform Committee and while a formal decision has not been finalised, there will be changes to the uniform moving forward during 2022. As with any changes there will be a lengthy transition period where the current uniform can still be worn in conjunction with the new uniform items. We anticipate finalising this decision in the first half of 2022 with the new items being available after this time. As soon as a formal decision is made the community will be informed.

St Kieran Parish Nativity Play Rehersals

The dates for the St Kieran Parish Children’s Nativity Play rehearsals will be on the 21st 22nd  and 23rd  December at the Shrine from 9am-10am. Please contact Ruby and Barbara on 0411309266.

St Kieran Parish Christmas Party

Parish Christmas Celebration on Saturday 18th December 2021, commencing 6:30pm. Please join us
to celebrate this special occasion.
Bring a dish each to share with fellow parishioners. As Santa will be present, parents can bring their kids present to be distributed by Santa.
Please mark your kids present clearly with first and last Name to avoid confusion. (Max present value $15.00 and for kids up to year 6  – 11/12 years old only).
Many thanks.
Love & God Bless
Judith

Containers for Change

St Kieran Catholic Primary School is proudly participating in the Containers for Change recycling initiative.
Collect your eligible containers instead of tossing them in the waste, then drop them off at our school. Not only is it great for the environment, but it’s also a great way to support and maintain our sustainability program.

All money raised from this initiative will be used to continue to support our sustainable school practices.

Piano Tuition at St Kieran 2022

Piano Tuition is being held at St Kieran’s by a registered teacher with over 25 years’ experience. Lessons are conducted on a one-to-one basis throughout the school term & are alternated as much as is possible every week to avoid the same in-class lesson being affected.
It is most important that you have either a piano or keyboard to practice on.
For further details or to enrol please contact Priscilla Smith on 0414 418 568. Limited places are available so book in early to avoid disappointment.
